Privacy Policy

The short version: Tiles keeps your Spaces, window layouts and preferences on your Mac. There is no account to create, no cloud sync, and no analytics or tracking built into the app.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in Tiles is written to your Mac's local application support directory: saved Spaces, the apps and window positions inside them, keyboard shortcuts, widget setup and appearance settings. It is never transmitted to us.

What we do collect

• Purchase and licence details. When you buy Tiles, our payment processor handles the transaction and provides us with your email address and licence key so we can deliver the key and support you. We never see your full card details.
• Licence activation. When you activate or deactivate a licence, the app contacts our licence server with your key and an anonymous device identifier so we can enforce the 5-device limit. No personal data or file contents are sent.
• Update checks. Checking for updates requests a version file over HTTPS. This carries no identifying information beyond the standard network request.
• Support email. If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can help you.

What we never do

• Sell, rent or share your personal information.
• Read, upload or index the contents of your windows, files or screen.
• Run third-party advertising or behavioural tracking in the app.

macOS permissions

Tiles asks for Accessibility permission because macOS requires it for any app that moves or resizes another app's windows. It is used only to position windows when you apply a Space. It is not used to read window contents, and you can revoke it at any time in System Settings.

This website

This site is hosted on Vercel, which records standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page) for security and reliability. We do not set advertising cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, which in practice is your purchase record and any support emails. Write to support@offfwhite.design and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change on this site.
